Playing with yarn

In the name of the Tour de Fiber, I've not only spun a lot more than usual...
I also played with techniques other than my usual favorites,,,
Among others, I've been playing with the thick and thin technique...

90 gramms of corriedale, 110 meters of yarm

I admire your spinning skills! When I was first learning to spin I did thick/thin, but it wasn't intentional. Now that I can spin an even fibre I have tried doing thick/thin on purpose and can't do it. :-)

I agree with Kristien...it seems we develop a grist habit that is hard to break. I think it's a good thing to 'make' yourself do something different. Do you have a project in mind for this yarn?

Thank you both. My favorite way of spinning is spinning thin laceweight yar, and yes, you are right it is difficult to do something else, like thicker ones. There is a lovely video on youtube by Camaj Fiber Arts, which I found pretty helpful.
