Today's post comes half a day later, I even considered skipping it completely, as I was not only swamped, also not feeling too hot (let's just say, gall-stones, and gall-stone attacks can go and f... themselves), but then I just remembered I wanted to show you something...
You might remember, I used to have this boots/shoes and socks series, in which I knitted socks specifically to a particular (colored) shoes or boots.
Also, those of you, who read this blog from my redhead days, might remember, that orange, especially the dark, rusty orange color was one of my favorites, but when I grew our my silver hair I felt that color off on me, I felt, I look like a three day old corpes, and my hair looks much yellower than it actually is. So I packed everything orange I had away, but I could not deniy that my stash has a ton of orange yarn... and I did miss using that color.
Until a few weeks ago, I made that blue and green sweater, and I though, it would be cool to wear green shoes with it, but the Seibel pair I had my eyes on, and was on sale had been sold out, and I turned to Vinted to see what is there... I could not find a pair of green shoes I likes, but...
I found a fair of orange ones. In the perfect style, in the perfect size. Brand new, with tags, and for about a quarter of the price. Yes I did buy it.
