On the road to Italy

Whew, what a fortnight, full of travel, full of happenings, and though, we are home now, the running around is not over yet.

I like to think, that we like our lives busy, and we will rest when we are dead, sometimes we do need time to digest things, to put memories in their place.

This time things started before we left, as first Norbert had to stay in the city he officially lives to get a signed letter, but it didn't go much better for me either. As after I took care of things, like paying bills, finishing up work, picking up packages and ready to start packing, when I got a note, with work, that needed to be done by next noon...

Now, it is a certain type of work, I do for this company, and I cannot afford to miss out the income it would generate, nor can I afford to have them look for somebody else to do this type of jobs, because then I can say goodbye to the rest of this type of work, and to top it, I rather like the work, so I asked Norbert, how much would he hate me, if I would work through the night, and sleep in the car...

I finished the work around half past five, and since we were planning to leave around 7-8, there wasn't much sense in getting to sleep, but I packed up the stuff we need for the trip. Now, the aim of the trip was a reenactment event, but we planned to stay there a couple of days before and after, so we needed to have historical clothes and modern clothes as well. I could only hope that in my semi-asleep state, I did not forget anything too important.

We got to our hotel pretty late, and we were rather tired, so I will show you what we saw in the city the next day I will show you in another post.
