I am prepared...

As I already mentioned, coinciding with the World Wide Spin in Public Day, we are having a Day of teh wool this saturday. As usual I will be there deamonstrating ad teaching spinning with the dropspindle.
And of course, as usual I will take colorful handdyed wool and yarn with me.
We've done greens...
Rusty oranges
Purples...
Pastels...
Blues...
Reds..
A brand new series in candy-colors
Special soft yarns with silk and cashmere...
I already love them... I hope others will too.

I've tried to fight it...

I have a thousand other things to do and I don't even like neck warmers...
But this pattern would not left my thought alone..

We were dyeing...

My friend Lotti wanted to dye some wool for felting...
I thought as long as my oven is turned on...
I might as well fulfill a long standing order...
400 gramms, which would be enough for a smaller/short sleeved seater...If spun thin even more...
South american wool, that is very much like Falkland, but even finer by a couple of microns.
Its already packed up in a box to get posted to its new owner.

What to do on a crowded train?

Very crowded "vacation train" (one of the two cars closed off for "technical reasons" and everyboby is stuffed into one of the cars...)... what to do? Throw a beachtowel (needs washing anyway) down the ground on the isles between the seats and knit. From hanspun alpacca. Black. Lace. With beads.
