Whirlwind weekend part 2: Concert again

This time, my favorite band...SZBB (as In the Band of Baalázs Szabó). The same city that is close to where N lives, but a different stage.  Since I already wax poetic about how much I love them, let's jut have the pictures...

Edwardian hat

I showed you all last week, what I started out with, and here are the results. The original (base) hat came home with me from Prague, and the decoration was done by me... I was pottering about it for a while, I sewed and took off the tulle about three times, but I am satisfied with the end result.

Whirlwind weekend...part one.

This weekend went so fast, with so many events, it will take a few posts to recounts. Since I decided that this blog will be more about life than just crafts, so here we are... concerts at the Gizella Days in Veszprém. Veszprém is a city pretty close to where N lives, and we both like the band called WadFruttik (Wild Frtutties).. it was obvious we go. I love it so much that I have someone to go with to places.... As for the concert, it was the best of this band I ever went. When we got there an hour before it started, from the tent, where the band spent his time, celebrating one of the guys' birthday, came noises and loud singing signaling that significan lubrication went down...I was afraid that they will be all over the place, But they were very collected, focused, and the concert was very intense.

something is happening...

At the moment I can't sew, but that does not mean there will be no new thing to wear at the big turn of the centuy event we will be part of, as reenactors... or maybe historical interpreters... ...
I've never done anything like this, so I wonder how will I do...
Now I have some work to do, so I will be back soon.

Live Ivestigation...or Interpretation. (pictures)

Since I got entangled in reenactment, I am also the part of the foundation's acting group, and one of the programs we like to put up is the investigation games, with live characters. This spring we were invited to the Villa Ráth, for the second time, which is the subdivision of the National Museum of Applied arts. The play was setat the edwardian times, the turn of teh 1th/ 20th century and I had the role of the lady's maid....
But of course the house staff knows everything...
You see that is where the watch dissapeared from...
Watching over the house...
I found this cigarette holder, but I have no idea whose could it be...
 So strict (or just tired?)

  Getting friendly with the guests...

The dress was loaned .. I know, shame on me... but this state will change sooner or later :-)
